Further Design
This pages looks how the concept developed from stage two and moved to the final design that was to be presented.
Development Three
After the reconsideration of the layout and further consideration of the required regulations development three saw the space be further developed and organises with the final layout beginning to be determined. The stage saw the alteration of the movement of the kitchen space which would work to develop an easier route of movement through the building. This change did have some impacts on the design which were altered with some comprises being made which were addressed and some further research was carried out to ensure that the changes would work within the spaces.
Using the section model created using site analysis this was used to mass the space within the existing building. The grey card illustrates the space that would created. Massing the external space allowed for the development of the building exterior that would be visible on the Nottingham skyline. Using the grey card to model spaces allowed for adjustments to be made with ease. Theses spaces were then photographed and then printed to sketch onto to look at how the space could be used to create the desired aesthetic.
Development Four
Development four began in the final weeks of the project to allow for further changes to be made to create spaces that work well and interact well with each other. This also included developing the building exterior to ensure the design language of the new and old would work together to create the desired look.
Final Design
The image below look at the final design, the space create and how the elements that have been developed all work together to create a restaurant space alongside educational facilities.
