Using the Nottingham City planning portal several locations were identified in the Lace Market. The lace market was identified as a suitable location as it is seen to be an upmarket area within Nottingham and it has been considerably developed over the last few years. There are many, bars and restaurants already around the lace market area indicating it is a popular location for eating out. With many apartments, offices as well a tourist attractions within the area this would also allow for visitors to “pop in” as a spontaneous decision something which throughout research was identified as a problem area currently.
The site selected is centrally located within the Lace Market with views looking out across the area as well as over Nottingham. This would allow for the consideration of outdoor eating. The selected site is a disused building, which appears to be an empty to shell to develop. There is also space outside which can be developed with additional space as required
